Learn Taekwondo from Certifed Coach
Located in the heart of Clayton Park, K-Top Taekwondo is dedicated to fostering the right character and promoting healthy physical development in students of all ages. Our mission is to instill essential values such as discipline, respect, and perseverance through the practice of taekwondo.
At K-Top, we pride ourselves on our team of amazing instructors, including a Team Canada coach, who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our students. They provide intensive training in both Poomsae (forms) and Sparring, ensuring that each student develops their skills to the fullest. Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to challenge and engage our students, allowing them to reach their personal goals while enjoying the journey of martial arts.

About Master Jo
Master Jo started training in Taekwondo in Seoul, South Korea, when he was 10 years old. His interests and expertise include various Korean traditional martial arts such as Sibpalki, Hapkido, and weapon techniques.
Master Jo holds a 5th-degree black belt in WT Taekwondo, a 4th-degree black belt in Hapkido, and a 2nd-degree black belt in Sibpalki. He also possesses an International Master Certificate in Taekwondo, issued by Kukkiwon.
In Canada, Master Jo continued his Taekwondo training under the direction of Grandmaster Jung (9th Dan), a former national competitor (for both Korea and Canada), world champion, Olympic medalist, and head coach of Team Canada. He won a silver medal at the 2019 Canada Open, gold medals at the 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 Korea Ambassador's Cup, and gold medals at the 2021 Grand Prix I and II competitions. Additionally, he earned a bronze medal at the 2022 National Championship, a silver medal at the 2022 Pan Am Open Championship, and a silver medal at the 2023 National Championship.
As a coach, Master Jo is a Level 2 coach certified by World Taekwondo (WT) and holds a Level 3 Performance Coach certification from the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). He was a trainer for Team Canada in 2024 and served as a Team Canada coach at the 2025 Pan Am Championships.
In addition to his martial arts career, Master Jo worked as an HRD manager for Hyundai Motor Group and LG Electronics for 17 years. He earned a master’s degree in the HRD field and completed a Ph.D. course in Korea.

Children Taekwondo
Children : Age 4 -12 (Grade 1 - 9)
Teenagers & Adults: Age 13 and Over
They will learn not only Taekwondo but also confidence, respect, courtesy, and so on. Also, they will feel a sense of accomplishment through Taekwondo.
High Performance Training
High Performance Sparring / Poomsae
This class focuses on improving the skills of high performers in Sparring or/and Poomsae.
