About K-Top
Learn Taekwondo from National champion
Located in the heart of Clayton Park, K-Top Taekwondo is dedicated to fostering the right character and promoting healthy physical development in students of all ages. Our mission is to instill essential values such as discipline, respect, and perseverance through the practice of taekwondo.
At K-Top, we pride ourselves on our team of amazing instructors who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our students. They provide intensive training in both Poomsae (forms) and Sparring, ensuring that each student develops their skills to the fullest. Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to challenge and engage our students, allowing them to reach their personal goals while enjoying the journey of martial arts.

About Master Jo
Master Jo started training in Taekwondo in Seoul, South Korean when he was 10 years old. His interests and expertise included various Korean traditional martial arts such as Sibpalki, Hapkido, and weapon techniques.
Master Jo is a 5th degree black belt in WT Taekwondo, a 4th degree black belt in Hapkido, and a 2nd degree black belt in Sibpalki. He also holds an International instructor certificate in Taekwondo issued by Kukkiwon.
In Canada, Master Jo continued to train Taekwondo under the direction of Grandmaster Jung (8th Dan), a former national competitor(Korea and Canada), world champion, Olympic medalist, and Canada national team head coach. He won a Silver Medal at the 2019 Canada Open, Gold medals at the 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Korea Ambassador's Cup, and the 2021 Grand Prix I and II competitions. Also, he got a Bronze medal in the 2022 National Championship, a Silver medal in the 2022 Pan Am Open Championship, and a Silver medal in the 2023 National Championship. As a coach, He is a Level 2 coach certified by World Taekwondo (WT) and holds coaching certification(Lv. 2 Dojang Coach) from the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), and he was a part of Team Canada as a trainer in 2024.
Also, he worked for Hyundai Motor Group, and LG Electronics as an HRD manager for 17 years. He got a Master's degree in the HRD field and completed a Ph.d course in Korea.
Programs
Children Taekwondo
Little tigers : Age 4~6(PP ~ P)
Children : Age 6 and over (Grade 1 ~)
They will learn not only Taekwondo but also confidence, respect, courtesy, and so on. Also, they will feel a sense of accomplishment through Taekwondo.
High Performance Training
High Performance Sparring / Poomsae
This class focuses on improving the skills of high performers in Sparring or/and Poomsae.
